Production Process

The production process at AgroWool is a journey of reshaping sheep wool, one of the purest materials nature has to offer, with scientific knowledge, advanced technology, and a sustainable vision.

Each step is designed according to the principles of maximum efficiency, minimum waste, and high quality.

1. Wool Sourcing

Sheep wool, carefully selected from various regions of Turkey, is delivered to our facility in accordance with animal welfare principles, naturally sheared, and free of harmful chemicals.

Our supply chain is fully traceable and recorded.

2. Cleaning and Sorting

In the first stage, the wool undergoes mechanical and biological cleaning processes. After being freed from dirt, dust, oil, and foreign matter, the wool is sorted according to fiber length, color, and density.

Even unusable wool is not discarded from the system— These are used in the production of liquid amino acids, keratin, or lanolin.

3. Physical and Chemical Processing

Using reactors and extraction systems designed to high quality standards;

  • Keratin is isolated using special hydrolysis techniques.
  • Lanolin is obtained through a low-temperature, solvent-free process.
  • Liquid and powdered amino acids are produced by breaking down wool protein into its building blocks by enzymatic or hydrolytic means.

All chemicals used in these processes are environmentally safe and comply with regulations.

4. Filtration, Stabilization, and Packaging

The resulting products are subjected to microbiological analysis and purified. They are then formulated with stabilizers to extend shelf life. In the final stage;

  • They are filled into IBC tanks,
  • Industrial barrels,
  • or small packages, and are ready for shipment.

5. Waste-Free Production & Recycling

Every step of the production process is designed with the goal of waste-free production.

Remaining liquids, thermal energy, and unused wool residue are recycled into the process for composting, energy recovery, or soil conditioner production.

Production at AgroWool is a process that respects nature, is shaped by science, and is committed to sustainability.
